RESOLUTION NO. RDA 86-2- A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SITE PLAN AND
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN OF A 160 UNIT RESIDENTIAL CONDOMINIUM PROJECT AT THE
SOUTHERLY TERMINUS OF NEWPORT AVENUE IN THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
Agency member Kennedy expressed project disapproval for the following
reasons:
i 1) The Agency has had three opportunities to deny a high-density project
T~ at this location;
"~' 2) The proximity of the freeway, the propane station, and the railroad
tracks;
3) The dead-end which the City is now petitioning PUC to open as an
at-grade crossing;
Tustin has enough of this type development; and
~ The project creates a brand-new slum that the City will have to take
