AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN OF CERTAIN IN-
HABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "SOUTH TUSTIN
AVENUE ANNEXATION"
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act
of 1913, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 134 adopted by the City
Council of the City of Tustin on the 7th day of April, 1960, a
special election was held on the 14th day of June, 1960, in inhabited
territory contiguous to the City of Tustin designated as "South
Tustin Avenue Annexation" and which is hereinafter more particularly
described; and
WHEREAS, at said special election the following question
was submitted to the qualified electors residing in said territory:
SHALL "SOUTH TUSTIN AVENUE ANNEXATION" BE ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF TUSTIN?
WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the
votes cast at the special election that a majority of all votes cast
in said territory on the question of annexation favor annexation; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the special election and all pro-
ceedings relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accordance
with law;
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No.
105 of the City of Tustin, the Planning Commission and the City
Council have duly held public hearings and received a report from
the City Engineer, and. said Planning Commission and City Council
have recommended certain zoning and building line set back require-
ments to be established in the territory upon annexation of
said. territory to the City of Tustin;
NOW THEREFORE, the People of the City of Tustin do ordain
as follows:
1. That the annexation of inhabited territory contiguous tq
the City of Tustin designated as "South Tustin Avenue Annexation" be
and the same hereby is approved upon the terms contained in the
aforesaid question which was submitted at the special election on
the 14th day of June, 1960. Said territory is described as follows:
LUM
Beginning at a point in the east line of Tustin Avenue,
66 feet wide, formerly known.as "Newport Co. Road", as shown
on a map of Stafford and Tustin Tract, recorded in Book 2,
page 618, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, -
California - with the South line of the "Ira L. Marchant
Annexation No. 2" to the City of Tustin, as per Ordinance
No. 124 on June 1, 1959.
Thence.southerly along the east line of said Tustin Avenue
905.51 feet a little more or less to the northwest corner
of the southwest one quarter of Lot "M" of said Stafford and
Tustin Tract.
Thence easterly along the north line of said southwest one
quarter, 358.6 feet. Thence southerly parallel to the center
line of Tustin Avenue; 580.54 feet more or less to the south
line of McFadden Street - 40.00 feet wide.
Thence easterly along the south line of said McFadden Street
411.80 feet more or less to the west line of parcel conveyed
to Charles A. Patton by deed recorded in Book 2113, page 255,
Official Records of Orange County. Thence southerly, parallel
to Tustin Avenue 805.00 feet to the southwest corner of said
Charles A. Patton parcel.
Thence easterly, parallel to McFadden Street 76.52 feet more
or less to angle point in parcel No. 2 as described in instru-
ment'recorded in Book 2832 on page.150 Official Records of
Orange County, California.
Thence South 510 East along said property line 467.70 feet
to northwesterly line of Newport Avenue 60 feet wide. Thence
southwesterly along said northwesterly line of Newport Avenue
1440.4.6 feet more or less to a point 310 feet northeasterly,
measured at right angles from the center line of the Atchison,
Topeka. and Santa Fe Railroad right of way.
Thence southeasterly, parallel to said railroad centerline
1350,00 feet more or less'to the southeasterly line of Lot 64,
Block ll, as shown on a map of "Irvine's Subdivision" recorded
in Miscellane-ous Record Maps, Book 1, page 88, Orange County.
Thence; southwest, along said lot line 210 feet to a point,
100 feet northeasterly measured at right angles, from said
railroad center line.
Thence northwesterly, parallel to said right of way center line,
1290.00 feet more or less to the southeasterly line of said
Newport Avenue, 60.00 feet wide.
Thence southwesterly along said Newport Avenue 75.00 feet to
a point 25.00 feet from said railroad center line.
Thence northwesterly parallel to and 25. feet northeasterly
measured at right angles from said railroad center line, to
the west line of Tustin Avenue 50 feet in width, also being an
angle point in the boundary line of the City of Santa Ana..
Thence northerly along the westerly line of Tustin Avenue,
also beim; the easterly boundary line of the City of Santa
Ana 1461.81 feet, to a point in the westerly prolongation of the
south line of parcel of land conveyed to William S. Hatch by
deed recorded in Book 1816, page 134, Official Records of
Orange County.
Thence east, parallel to McFadden Street 579.40 feet to
southeast corner of said William S. Hatch parcel.
Thence north parallel to Tustin Avenue 427.4 feet.
Thence west along property line and the westerly extension
thereof, 579.40 feet to the west line of Tustin Avenue.
Thence north along west line of Tustin Avenue, 377.6 feet to the
south line of McFadden Street - 40 feet wide, also being an

angle point in the boundary line of the City of Santa Ana.
Thence west along the south line of McFadden Street 713.90
feet.
Thence north parallel.to center line of Tustin Avenue 469.00
feet.
Thence west along property line 5.32 feet to point 710.32 feet
west of the east line of Lot "L" said Stafford and Tustin Tract.
Thence northerly parallel to Tustin Avenue 429.00 feet;
Thence easterly along property line 50.32 feet to the south-
west corner of Lot "N" of said Stafford and Tustin Tract
Thence northerly along said lot line 750.42 feet to the
northwest corner of said Lot "N".
Thence easterly along lot line 450.00 feet to point 210 feet
westerly (measured at right angles) from the east line of
said Lot "F" said Stafford and Tustin Tract.
Thence northerly parallel to and 210 -feet westerly (measured;'at
right angles) from said east line of said Lot "F", and its northerly
prolongation,,1400 feet more or less to the north line of Main
Street, 80 feet wide as shown on said Stafford and Tustin Tract.
Thence easterly along said north line of Main Street and its
easterly prolongation 243 feet to the center line of Tustin
Avenue, being a point in the westerly boundary line of the
City of Tustin.
Thence following along the said City of Tustin boundary line,
the following courses: Southerly, easterly, southerly,westerly,
southerly and easterly 66 feet to the point of beginning.
2. That the zones defined by Ordinance No. 71 of the City of
Tustin as amended and the boundaries of said zones and the building
lines all within the subject territory known as "South Tustin
Avenue Annexation" are shown'in a map attached hereto marked
Exhibit "A" and made a part of this ordinance, being designated as
the "Zoning Classification and Building Line Requirements for 'South
Tustin Avenue Annexation' to the City of Tustin", and said map and
all the notations, references and other information shown thereon
shall be made a part of this ordinance as if the materials and
information set forth on said map were fully described herein.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Tustin NeTns, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and. circulated
in the City of Tustin, County of Orange, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE City Council of the City of Tustin
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of July, 1960.
