A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA DESIGNATING THE CITY'S AUTHORIZED
AGENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT PROGRAM GRANT FUNDING PROVIDED BY
THE FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY
THROUGH THE CALIFORNIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

WHEREAS, The Federal Department of Homeland Security provides funding for
State and Local Emergency Planning, Preparedness and Response programs; and
WHEREAS, the State of California Emergency Management Agency requires local
agencies to designate an agent(s) to represent the local agency in matters pertaining to the
Emergency Management Program Grant (EMPG) program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Tustin desires to participate in the 2,012 Emergency
Management Program Grant program; and
WHEREAS, the Tustin Police Department is responsible for management of the
City's Emergency Preparedness programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tustin that
it determines and orders as follows:
That the City Council of the City of Tustin, hereby designates and
authorizes the Chief of Police to execute for and on behalf of the City of
Tustin, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California,
any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining federal financial
assistance provided by the Federal Department of Homeland Security and
subgranted to the County of Orange through the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin, at a regular
meeting on the 16th day of October, 2012.
