CALL TO ORDER The*meeting was called to order by Chairperson Pro Tem Kennedy at 7:04 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, Cali- forni a. 2. ROLL CALL Agency Hembers Present: Ursula E. Kennedy, Chairperson Pro Tem*' Richard B. Edgar Frank H. Greinke Donald J. Saltarelli Agency Members Absent: Ronal d B. Services Jeff Kolin, Recreation Superintendent Approximately 70 in the audience AGENDA ORDER 4. DESIGN REVIEW - PROPOSED MOTEL ON LAGUNA ROAD Chairperson Pro Tam Kennedy read a letter received October 5, 1983, addressed to the City of Tustin as follows: "To Whom It May Concern: I, Richard Pierce, withdraw my application to develop a 52-unit motel located on Laguna Road in the City of Tustin which has been submitted to the Community Development Department and Redevelopment Agency for design approval." Therefore, subject item was deleted from the agenda at the developer's request. Chairperson Pro Tem Kennedy's announcement was applauded by the audience. 81 Mr. Greinke commented that there is a tremendous need for quality motels in Tustin, and he would like to see the project resubmitted at a later date with much lower density which would attract clientele different from that of budget-t~e motels. Mr. Saltarelli expressed appreciation to Mr. Pierce and conveyed his per- sonal thanks for being very responsive to the wishes of the community. RECESS - CITY COUNCIL; RECONVENED At 7:12 p.m. the Redevelopmerit Agency recessed to the City Council meet- ing by unanimous informal consent. The Redevelopment Agency meeting was reconvened at 10:25 p.m. with Chairman Hoesterey absent. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES It was moved by'Edgar, seconded by Greinke, to approve the minutes of the September 19, 1983, meeting. Carried 4-0, Hoesterey absent. 5. OTHER BUSINESS None. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES Page 2, 10-5-83 6. ADJOURNMENT At 10:27 p.m., the meeting was adjourned to the next Regular Heeting on October 17, 1983, by unanimous informal consent. y
