Moved by Saltarelli, seconded by Sharp that minutes of May 1, 1978 be approved. Carried. 4. Moved by Sharp, seconded by Saltarelli that meeting be adjourned to regular meeting of the City Council. Carried. S~tary COUNCIL MEETING RECONVENED 7:55 P.M. IV. PUBLIC CONCERNS Ve COUNCIL CONCERNS 1. Mr. Richard Edgar commended the Council, Agency and staff accomplishments of the Redevelopment Agency and the challenges for commitments ahead to above ground accomplishments. 2. Mr. Larry Bradley, business man, 12932 Newport Ave. asked if any information was available as to parking lot lighting standards. Mr. Chase stated that the new security ordinance does set forth standards but this center was an existing use and was developed in the County. Counciln~n Sharp suggested that the tenents fall back on Cal- OSHA to cause owner to keep parking lot in safe condition. 1. SANTA ANA RIVER FLOOD CONTROL AGENCY ALTERNATE Mayor Welsh offered to be alternate to Mrs. Kennedy on this agency. 2. LEGISLATION BULLETIN Mayor to submit letters opposing following bills. SB 1874 (Smith), AB 2757 (Ingalls), AB 2744 (Berman), AB 3653 (Craven). 3. WITNESS TO FITNESS Mr. Schuster reported on the success of Witness to Fitness Week and expressed his appreciation for staff help from Parks & Recreation Department. 4. PLANNING AGENCY/COUNCIL HEARINGS In answer to Councilwoman Kennedy, Mr. Chase stated that hearings to be heard by both agencies are usually scheduled at 2 week intervals although could be heard the same day if properly noticed.. -7-
