Hall is uneventful.
Commissioner Kawashima
Stated that he appreciated 'the tour of the base that staff provided for he
and Commissioner Bell.
Asked if the Bourbon Street restaurant was repainted and questioned the
color that was used.
The Director responded that staff will be contacting the restaurant with those
concerns.
Noted that Home Depot is the top producing store in the Marketplace and it
would be nice to retain tenants like that.
The Director noted that the store has improved pedestrian flow on the site recently.
Mentioned an article he read in the LA Times about the use of compact
spaces being reconsidered with the number of sport utility vehicles on the
roads.
The Director noted that Tustin is one of the few cities that allows compact parking
and further stated that compact spaces typically do not work because small cars
do not always park in the compact spaces. She stated that if the City attempted to
change this policy it would make many developments in the City non-conforming
but staff is looking at addressing the issue when the zoning code is updated.
Chairperson Kozak
- Thanked staff for a good year and all their work in moving projects forward.
- Wished everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
