SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - CIP FUND
SUMMARY: Continuing analysis of the City's Capital Improvement Fund indicates that a
supplemental appropriation is necessary to complete several carryover projects.
RECOMMENDATION:
Appropriate $252,000 from the unappropriated reserves of the Capital Improvement Fund and
aPply to the following accounts:
$ 93,150 Project # 1032
66,350 Project # 1033
90,300 Project # 1538
2,200 Project # 7159
Major Building Maintenance
Fuel Tank Removal and Replacement
Jamboree Road Irrigation System
East Tustin Landscape Replacement
FISCAL IMPACT:
The projected 06/30/00 unappropriated reserves of the Capital Improvement Fund will be adjusted
by this appropriation for a revised projected balance of $8 million.
DISCUSSION:
The projects listed above were originally appropriated in prior years but were not completed in the
same budget period and will require a carryover appropriation. The original analysis indicated the
projects were complete but subsequent analysis indicates ongoing activity in these projects. The
supplemental appropriation will more accurately reflect the expenses during this budget year.
