AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALI-
FORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 18 AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL BURNING
PERMITS TO BE ISSUED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain
as follows, to wit:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 18 of the City of
Tustin, entitled, "An Ordinance of the City of Tustin, Calif-
ornia, Pertaining to the Regulation and Use of Gasoline and
Protection of the City Against Fire, Providing Penalties for
the Violation Thereof, and Repealing all Ordinances and Parts
of Ordinances in Conflict Therewith," shall be amended by the
addition of Section 2.5 to said Ordinance. Said section to be
added shall read asifollows:
"Section 2.5. Upon written application showing
approval of the IChief of Police and notice to the
Fire Chief of the City of Tustin, the City Coun-
cil may upon proper showing give a temporary
written permit to permit the burning of rubbish,
waste paper, rags, excelsior, straw, grass, weeds,
or any other inflammable or combustible material
within the corporate limits of the City of Tustin,
California, at times other than between the hours
of 6:00 A. M. and 12:00 noon, provided, that said
temporary written permit shall not extend for a
period in excess of three hundred (300) days."
Section 2. That Ordinance No. 18 as herein modi-
fied shall be and does hereby remain in full force and effect,
and all ordinances or parts of ordinances to the extent that
the same conflict herewith are to that extent hereby repealed.
Section 3, The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published
once in the Tustin News, a weekly newspaper of general circu-
lation , printed, published and circulated in. the City of
Tustin, and said Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
frog the date of its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Tustin at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of Decem-
ber, 1951,

THE ABOVE AND FOREGOING Ordinance was regularly in-
troduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Tustin, California, on the 3rd day of December, 1951, and
was duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 17th day of December, 1951, by the follow-

ing vote.
