CITY OF ` USTIN.
The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 78 of the
City of Tustin is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 5: That a new section is hereby added
to said plumbing code in force and effect to the City of Tustin
at the and of Section 7 thereof, to be known as,Section 7 A.,
which said new section shall read as follows, to -wit:
Section 7:
A. INSPECTION F. -' F Eks' IT.
Where the cast of the plumbing permit is less than
$5.00r there must be deposited with the issuing officer a sum of
money, in addition to the cost of the plumbing permit, sufficient
to bring the amount paid for the plumbing permit and the in-
spection fee deposit to the tate of `_�S X0 for.the two items,
(excepting that the Plumbing Inspector may from time to time re.
quire the total of.the two items to be not less than $3.00 for
certain plumbing installations which will require not more than
one plumbing inspection. A list of such items is given for
example, and shall not be deemed exclusive or -mandatory, on the
Plumbing Inspector: Installation in existing dwellings or
buildings of floor or basement furnaces, water,heaters, automatic
washers or dishwashers.) That amount of money paid in addition
to the cost of the plumbing permit under the provisions hereof
shall be called an Inspection Fee Deposit and shall be used to
cover the cost of inspections required for the proper completion
of the plumbing authorized by said permit. The applicant will
be charged a fee of $2.00 for each inspection by the plumbing
inspector, and the money paid by the applicant for the plumbing
+�•» permit and as the Inspection Fee Deposit, shall be used in the

fallowing manner: ?1.00 for the issuance of the permit, and the
balance of the said money to be used to pay for the inspections
required on the plumbing authorized by said permit. If the amount
so paid in, shall be insufficient to cover the cast of inspections
required, the applicant s#all be required to pay such additional
sums as will be necessary to pay for all inspections required.
If,,after after the final inspection of the plumbing, the whole
of $5.00 shall not have been used to defray the costs of the in -
spections and permit fee, the applicant shell be entitled to a
refund of that amount paid in excess of the costs of the plumbing
permit and the cost of inspections for said plumbing, if any.
The Treasurer of the City of `_ustin is hereby authorized,,
upon the completion of the plumbing done under the permit, to pay such
refund of the Inspection Fee Deposit as may be Certified to by
the plumbing inspector."
Section 2: That no plumbing permit is to be issued in
the absence of strict compliance with the provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 3: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause
or phrase of this Ordinance, is for any reason held to be ancon.
stitutional,, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this Ordinance. The City Council hereby
declares that it would have passed this Ordinance, and each section,
subsection, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact
that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses
and phrases may be declared unconstitutional.
Section 4: All other ordinances, or portions of
ordinances to the extent that the same conflict herewith, are,
to that extent, hereby repealed.

Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once
in the Tustin News, a weekly newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in the City of Tustin, Orange
County, California, and. said Ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force and effect thirty (30) days from date of its
final passage and adoption.
I, Chas. E. Morris, City Clerk, and ex -officio Clerk of
the City Council.of the City of Tustin, California, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, held on the sixth
day of February, 1950, and was passed by the City Council at a
regular adjourned meeting held on.the Qeth day of February, 1950,
by the fallowing vote:
