HUSTON, CITY MANAGER POLICE DEPARTMENT DISPOSITION OF SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY RECOMMENDATION That Council authorize the donation of the old radar Traffic trailer to the Tustin Unified School District at no cost. FISCAL IMPACT Alan Gallagher, supervisor of Field Services, indicates that the trailer is worth approximately $200 or less. if sold at auction. BACKGROUND On May 22, we received a letter from Brad Lantz, Director of Facilities and Security for the Tustin Unified School District. Mr. Lantz requested that the City donate the radar trailer to the Tustin Unified School District for the purpose of converting it to a storage rollout unit for the District's Emergency Operations Program. During this fiscal year, the City replaced this radar trailer with a newer model unit. The old trailer is currently part of City's surplus property and is due to be sold as such. We have no plans to utilize this piece of equipment in any capacity. We recommend that this trailer be donated to the Tustin Unified School District as outlined above.
