HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 50 (1939)ORDINANCE NO. 50 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN FIXING AND DETERMINTNG THE NUMBER OF CENTS ON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS OF THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WTTHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO BE LEVIED AND COLLECTED AS A REVENUE TO PAY THE GENERAL RUNNING EXPENSES OF SAID CITY, AND THE BONDED A"D OTHER IN— DEBTEDNF.SS OF SAID CTTY DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1939-1940. The City Council of the 'jity of Tustin do ordain as follows: SECTION I: It is hereby determined that the sum of One Hundred and Ten — — — _ — — — — — ($1.10)Cents upon each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of all the taxable property within the City of Tustin is required for the purpose of providing a revenue to meet the general expenses of the said City for the fiscal year 1939-1940, and to pay the bonded and other indebtedness of said. City, and ti -e proper officers are hereby directed to levy and collect the said sum of One Hundred and Ten — — — — — — — — ($1.10 Cents on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of all the taxable property within said City as assessed by the Assessor of the City of Tustin for the fiscal year 1939 -1940 - SECTION II: That the revenue raised through the collection of taxes as aforesaid shall be, and is hereby allocated as follows: The sum collected upon One Hundred Cents ($1.00) thereof, to the General Fund; The sum collected upon Ten Cents $0.10 thereof, to the Municipal Improvement Bonds oif 1930, Bonded Indebtedness Fund SECTION III: The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be published once in "The Tustin News", a weekly newspaper printed and published in the City of Tustin, County of Orange, State of California, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. I, D. T. Hayden, City Clerk of the City of Tustin, do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was introduced at an adjour— ned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin 209 held on the 21st day of August, 1939, and was finally passed at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 5th day of September, 1939, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen: Logan, Pieper, Kiser, Wilson Huntley NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen; None ATTEST: City Glerk f the City of Tustin APPROVED' c ' Mayor of th City of Tustin
