HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 48 (1938)r; , ORDINANCE NO. 48 AN ORDINANCE OF.THE CITY OF TUSTIN FIXING AND DETERMINING THE NUMBER OF CENTS ON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS OF THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO BE LEVIED AND COLLECTED AS A REVENUE TO PAY THE GENERAL RUNNING EXPENSES OF SAID CITY, AND THE BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1938 -1939 - The City Council of the City of Tustin do ordain as follows: SECTION I: It is hereby determined that the sum of one Hundred and Fifteen - - 91.1 Cents upon each One Hundred Dollars 100.00 of the assessed valua- tion of all the taxable property within the City of Tustin is required for the purpose of providing a revenue to meet the general expenses of the said City for the fiscal year 1938-1939, and to pay the bonded and other indebtedness of said City, and the proper officers are hereby directed to levy and collect the said sum of One Hundred and Fifteen? - - - -($1.15) Cents on each One Hundred Dollars 100.00 of the assessed valuation of all the taxable property within said City as assessed by the Assessor of the City of Tustin for the fiscal year 1938-1939• ""TION II: That the revenue raised through the col- lection of taxes as aforesaid shall be, and is, hereby allo- cated as follows: The sum collected upon One Hundred Cents ($100) there61 to the General Fund; The sum collected upon Fifteen Cents ($0.19) thereof to the Municipal Improvement Bonds of 1930, Bonded Indebted- ness Fund. SECTION III: The City Clerk shall cause this ordin- ance to be published once in "The Tustin News", a weekly new spaper printed and published in the City of Tustin, County of Orange, State of California and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and,T;pffect. I, D. T. Hayden, City Clerk of the City of Tustin, do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was introduced at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin held on the 15th day of August, 1938, and was finally passed at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 6th day of September, 1938, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen: Huntley, Logan, Pieper Wilson NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Kiser ATTEST: City Clerk g the Oity of Tustin The foregoing ordinance is hereby approved this 6th day of September, 1935• f5
