AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3 OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE
FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR THE CLERK,
TREASURER, MARSHAL AND REDORDER, AND ALSO
THE AMOUNT OF THE OFFICIAL BONDS REQUIRED
OF THE FIRST THREE OFFICIALS NAMED."
The City Council of the City of Tustin, Califor-
nia, do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 1 of Ordinance Number 3 of
the City of Tustin, entitled,
"An Ordinance fixing the compensation
for the Clerk, Treasurer, Marshal and
Recorder; also the amount of the of-
ficiai bonds required of the first
three officials named".
is hereby amended to read as follows:
The Clerk, Treasurer, Chief of Police, and City
Judge shall severally receive compensation at the rate per
month, as follows: Clerk 0.00 , Treasurer .00 , Chief
of Police J150.00 , and City Judge P50.00 ; each respec-
tively.
SECTION 2 Section 2 of Ordihance Number 3"of the
City of Tustin, entitled,
"An Ordinance fixing the compensation for
the Clerk, Treasurer, Marshal and Recorder;
also the amount of the official bonds required
of the first three officials named".
is hereby amanded to read as follows:
The Clerk, Treasurer and Chief of Police, res-
p ectively2
es-pectively, before entering upon the duties of their res-
pective offices, shall each execute a bond to the City of
Tustin in the following penal sums: Clerk 91000.00 ;
Treasurer 15000.00 ; Chief of Police 11000.00 .
SECTION 3: This Ordinance is an Ordinance for
the immediate pes ervation of the. public peace, health
and safety, and tb e facts constituting its urgency are de-
clared to be as follows: It is necessary for the City of
Tustin to have a Treasurer, and the City Council are inform-
ed and believe it to be a fact that no citizen will accept
the office of Treasurer, and assume the responsibilities
and duties thereof for the pT�psent salary of $1.00 per
month, and that it is necessary that a more suitable salary
and compensation for such office be fixed before the en-
suing;general municipal election in order that the said office
of Treasurer may be filled, for which reason this Ordinance
shall fo into full force and effect immediately upon its final
passage.
SECTION4: The City Clerk shall certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance, and cause this Ordinance to be publi-
shed and circulated in the City of Tustin, whereupon this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately.
The above and foregoing Ordinance was regularly
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, held on karch 16, 1936, and was duly passed
and adopted at an adjourned regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin held on the 23rd day o£ March,
1936,
