BACKGROUND:
At the October 18, 1999 City Council meeting, Councilmember Potts requested that the
City Council consider increasing the compensation paid to Planning Commissioners and
Parks and Recreation Commissioners.
Staff conducted a survey of the ten benchmark cities used by the City of Tustin for
compensation comparisons. The survey requested the amount of compensation paid to
Planning Commissioners, Parks and Recreation Commissioners, and their equivalent to
our Audit Committee. Staff included the Audit Committee in the survey so that all
Commissions/Committees in the City receiving compensation would be included in the
survey.
Following are the results of the survey:
· City Planning Parks Audit

Buena Park
Costa Mesa
Cypress
Fountain Valley

Newport Beach
