HUSTON, CITY MANAGER OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COMMISSION/COMMITTEE COMPENSATION SUMMARY: At their meeting on November 15, 1999, the City Council approved compensation increases for members of the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission and Audit Committee. RECOMMENDATION' Adopt Resolution No. 99-102 approving increases in compensation for members of the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission and Audit Committee. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no significant budget impact related to these increases. BACKGROUND: At their meeting on November 15, 1999, the City Council voted to increase compensation paid to Planning Commissioners, Parks and Recreation Commissioners and members of the Audit Committee. The approved increases are as follows and will become effective January 1, 2000: Planning Commission' Parks Commission' Audit Committee: Increase from $50.00 to $100.00 per meeting Increase from $25.00 to $50.00 per meeting Increase from $50.00 to $100.00 per meeting Adoption of a resolution is required by the City Council to document these increases for auditing and historical purposes. Valerie Crabill Chief Deputy City Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 99-102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR PLANNING COMMISSIONERS, PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSIONERS, AND MEMBERS OF THE AUDIT COMMITTEE WHEREAS, ~he City Council recognizes the valuable service provided to the City of Tustin by members of the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Audit Committee; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that in addition to recognition, the members of the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Audit Committee should receive compensation to assist in part for the numerous hours of service they provide to the Tustin community; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, hereby determines as follows: SECTION 1. That each member of the Planning Commission shall receive the sum of $100.00 for each meeting attended. SECTION 2. That each member of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall receive the sum of $50.00 for each meeting attended. SECTION 3. That each member of the Audit Committee shall receive the sum of $100.00 for each meeting attended. SECTION 4. That the foregoing compensations will become effective on January 1, 2000.
