TUSTiN, CA IFURiaiA, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOP3S, to -wit:
That WHEREAS, the City of Tustin, California, did on the
30th day of January, 1928, by Ordinance select and determine to
avail itself of the provisions of the Act of the 27th day of March,
1895, as contained in the Statutes of 1895, page 219, Chapter 182,
and as subsequently amended, relative to the assessment and
collection of taxes for aunicipal Corporations, and did in
aecordaned therewith on or about said date file with the County
Auditor of Orange County, California, a certified copy of said
Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 7 of said City of Tustin, as
provided by law;
AI;D :;'3EREA8, the County auditor of the County of Orange,
State of California, on or about the 15th day of July, 1929,
filed his statement in writing with the Board of Trustees of the
City of Tustin, California, showingthe total value of all property
within the corporate limits of said City for the year 1929-1930, as
equalized and collected by the Board of Supervisors of Orange
County, California, and fixed the sum as shown by the assessment
-rolls for said year as 562,900, exclusive of operative property;
and WHEREAS, the amount of money ascertained and fixed as necessary

to be raised by taxation, on the whole of the taxable property with-
in
i -in said City, to carry on the various departments of the said City
of 2US21N, for the current year, 1929-1930, is fixed at the sum of
$5,629.00 and is to be apportioned to the general fund of said
City for said purposes, as provided by laws.

SEC IOra 1.hat_the total v&luation of the taxable
property
of the City of Tustin, exclusive of operative property, to -wit,
562,900 shall be used as a basis for the levy of the taxes of the
City of Tustin, California, at the same time and in the same manner
County levies are made and collected.
SECTION II. That the rate of taxation for municipal purposes
of the City of Tusti:,, California, for the curretn year 1929-1930
is hereby fixed 01.00 on the taxable property of said City and that
the amount of $5,629.00 in the aggregate and the rate of $1.00 on
each $100.00 of the taxable property of said City is hereby levied'
upon all the taxable property as ascertained by the County Assessor
and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, Calif-
ornia, as aforesaid, and which said rate so fixed shall be apportion-
ed all to the general fund of said City of Tustin, to pay current
expenses for the current fiscal year, 1929-1930.
SECTION III. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to submit
and deliver a certified copy of this Ordinance to the County Auditor
of the County of Orange, California, on or before the let day of
September, 1929.
SECTION IV. The City Olerk shall cause this Ordinance to
be published once in the+ustin iiews, a weekly newspaper, printed
and circulated in the said City of Tustin, California, and thereupon
it shall immediately take effect and be in force.
I, the undersigned, City Olerk of the City of Tustin, Calif.
and ex -officio Clerk of the Board of Trustees of said City, hereby
certify the foregoing Ordinance is a true and correct copy of
Ordinance No. 23 of said 0ity, which was introduced at a regular
meeting of said Board of Trustees held on July 15, 1929, and was fin-
ally passed at a regular meeting of said board on the 5th day of
August, 1929, being not less than 5 days thereafter, by the following
stated vote.
Ayes: Trustees -Logan, Huntley, Kiser, and Schwendeman.
Noes: Trustees -gone
ABsent: Trustees -!done.
I hereby certify that upon its passage said ordinance was
thereupon signed by the Idayor and rresident of the Board of ''Trustees,

and was thereafter on the 9th day of August, 1929, published
once in `lhe Tustin News, a newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in said city of Tustin.

The foregoing ordinance is hereby approved this 5th day of
August, 1929.
