HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 13-21RESOLUTION NO. 13 -21 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR A NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL ON NEWPORT AVENUE SUBJECT TO FINAL ENGINEERING APPROVAL BY THE CITY ENGINEER WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Tustin, California to contract for a new Traffic Signal installation on Newport Avenue at the Main Hotel Entry for the R.D. Olson Project Development currently under construction, and WHEREAS, the traffic signal on Newport Avenue at the Main Hotel Entry is warranted in conjunction with the additional retail uses proposed by said development and in a manner that is proportionately cost shared with future adjoining developable parcels within the Pacific Center East; and WHEREAS, the construction of the said traffic signal can best be accomplished prior to the majority of hotel and retail occupancy proposed for August/September 2013, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer is currently preparing the final plans and specifications for the immediate construction of said work; and WHEREAS, the City of Tustin subject project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); Class 1, Section 15301: Existing Facilities; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and specifications are approved subject to the final approval by the City Engineer of the City of Tustin for: A New Traffic Signal on Newport Avenue at the Main Hotel Entry, —625 feet s/o Edinger Avenue PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin, at a regular meeting on the 2nd day of April, 2013.
