If you wish to address the Commission on any matter, please fill out one of the forms located at the speaker's podium so that your remarks within the recording of the meeting can be attributed to you. Completion of this form is not mandatory, but accurately provides your information for the record. CONSENT CALENDAR: All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items prior to the time of the voting on the motion unless members of the Commission, staff, or public request specific items to be discussed and/or removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action. 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES —APRIL 23, 2013, PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission approve the minutes of the April 23, 2013, meeting as provided. 2. FISCAL YEAR 2013-14 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FINDING OF CONFORMANCE WITH THE GENERAL PLAN RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission adopt Resolution No. 4224 finding the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Capital Improvement Program in conformance with the General Plan pursuant to Section 65401 of the Government Code. Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Planning Commission regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Community Development Department located at 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California,during normal business hours. I�In compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in this meeting,please contact the office of the City Clerk at(714) 573-3025. Notification 72 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to assure accessibility to this meeting. PUBLIC HEARINGS: 3. VARIANCE 2013-01 Variance 2013-01 is a request to construct a 434 square foot ground floor addition to be used as a fifth bedroom and maintain the existing two-car garage. The applicant has requested a variance to reduce the required number of garage space from a three-car garage to the existing two-car garage. APPLICANT/ PROPERTY OWNER: Eric Garcia 17482 Parker Drive Tustin, CA 92780 PROJECT LOCATION: 17482 Parker Drive ENVIRONMENTAL: This project is categorically exempt pursuant to Sections 15301 (Class 1) and 15305 (Class 5) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission Adopt Resolution No. 4225, approving Variance 2013-01 to reduce the required number of garage parking spaces for a single family residence with five bedrooms from a three-car garage to the existing two- car garage. SUMMARY OF PROJECTS The Summary of Projects report focuses on the status of projects that the Planning Commission, Zoning Administrator, or staff approved; major improvement projects; Certificates of Appropriateness; Code Enforcement activities; and, other items of interest.
