MONOW May 7, 2013 Background The City has three (3) Commissions: Planning Commission Community Services Commission Audit Commission Tustin City Code provides that City Commissioners shall resign from their commission(s) upon the filing of nomination papers to run for City Council. Background At the Council's direction, on staff provided a report about Commissioner appointments removal. March 19, and That report summarized when other cities reauire commissioners to reser 1 al1� Staff could identify no other city in Or County that requires commissioners t� resign upon filing nomination papers. Virtually all require resignation, or pro service on a commission, upon actual election to city council. Staff Recommendation Introduce and have first by title only of Ordinance Nv�� 1434, and set the second for the next regular meets the City Council.
