4IDING A PENALTY FOR ':°HE VIOLATION THEREOF.
I The City Council of the City of Tustin do ordain as follows:
f Section 1. That no restaurant, cafe, lunch counter or
! hot dog stand shall be maintained or conducted in any p(ml or
billiard hall, bowling alley or market in said City, unless the
same shall be in a room partitioned off from such pool or bil-
liard hall, bowling alley or market and have a closed front, all
as repaired by the State law or City ordinance'relative to pub-
lic health and sanitation.
Section. 2. That every application hereafter for a permit
to conduct a .restaurant, cafe, lunch counter or other business
of a similar n:;ture shall first be approved by the health de-
partment of the City of Tustin, shovring that the location and
conditions where said applicant proposes to conduct such rest-
aurant, cafe, lunch -counter or other similar business is sani-
tary and conforms "to the health department regulations.
Section 3. That 'any person violating any of the provis-
ions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof shall be s,:bject to a fine not exceed-
ing One HundredDollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment in the
County jail of Orange County, for not exceeding thirty'(30)
days or both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. That the city Clerk shall certify to the 'pas-
sage of this ordinance and cause the same to be posted -in three
public places in the City of Tustin, to -wait: one near the en-
trance of the Knights of Pythias Hall, the place where said
City Council holds its meetings, one near the entrance; to the _..
United States Post Office, and one near the entrance to.the
First National Bank of Tustin.

The above and fo-regaing.ordinance..was..regularly intro-
duced at a regular meeting,of.the City Council held on the 16th
day of April, 1928, and was duly passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of said City Co;;.ncil held'on the 21st day of May, 1928,
by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: TRUSTEES, Huntley, Schwendeman, Logan and Kiser.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.

I hereby certify that upon its passage said ordinance was
thereupon signed by the Xayor and President of the Board of
