DISCUSSION:
Staff, at the request of the Tustin Pride Committee, has developed a landscape design plan for'Nisson Road. The
planting site extends from Newport Avenue to approximately 350 feet east of Newport Avenue, on the north side
of Nisson Road. The landscaping will provide the residents of the area with an aesthetically pleasing view and
enhance the overall appearance of the area.
The planting site is within the Caltrans right-of-way and requires a permit, along with Caltrans' approval on an3;
improvement to the site. Caltrans has completed their review and have given staff verbal approval for the
landscape installation. Written approval has been delayed due to the relocation of the Caltrans offices but should
· be forthcoming.
