SB 1 307 ♦ Public Hearing every three years ♦ Unique to CA PHG REPORT ♦ CA Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) • Perform risk assessments • Establishes PHG ♦ CA Department of Public Health • Establishes Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCL) • Set the MCL as close as technically and economically feasible to the PHG ♦ US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) • Establishes Maximum Contaminant Level Goals (MCLG) REPORT ELEMENTS ♦ Prepare PHG Report for any constituent exceeding the PHG or Federal Maximum Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG) if a PHG been established has not ♦ Inform Public on levels of contaminants below the enforceable MCL ♦ Inform Public on cost to remove contaminants from water regardless of how minimal the risk ♦ Hold Public Hearing ♦ Respond to public comments WATER QUALITY ♦ Water Quality Report sent to all service addresses in duly of every year ♦ Water Quality report is available on the City website ♦ PHG Report is available for review ♦ Public Works Water Division is always available to answer questions regarding water quality ♦ The City of Tustin Water Services meets all CDPH and USEPA drinking water standards set to protect public health ♦ No further action is required Q&A DISCUSSION /J/J r Pa,fade.ya AleA 2-1
