HUSTON, CITY MANAGER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT PUBLIC HEARING FOR GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 98-002 AND ZONE CHANGE 98-005 SUMqPlARY: General Plan Amendment (GPA) 98-002 and Zone Change (ZC). 98-005 are requests to amend the General Plan Land Use Designation and Zoning District of a .5 acre parcel of abandoned Caltrans freeway right-of-way that was acquired by the Tustin Village Townhomes CommuniO~ Association. Public notice for the project was provided for the December 14, 1998 Planning Commission meeting and the January $, 1999 City Council meeting, however, the subject parcel was incorrectly identified At the December 14, 1998 Planning Commission meeting, the project was continued to allow for an opportunity to correct the error. Applicant: Mr. Elmer Tiedje, Tustin Village Community AssoCiation RECOMMENDATION That the City Council continue this item to the January 19, 1999 meeting. BACKGROUND An erroneous legal description was provided in the application and public notice. The subject parcel is approximately ¼ acre in size, as opposed to the .152 acre parcel described in the public notice. The applicant has submitted a correct legal description; therefore, staff has renoticed the item for consideration by the Planning Commission on January 11, 1999 and the City Council on January 19, 1999.
