As of this date, the parks are proceeding as follows: Cedar Grove Park (Project No. 400041) The overall project is approximately 95% complete. Some details of the work are as follows: 1. Restroom building is 99% complete. 2. Irrigation piping and control wiring is complete. 3. Concrete curbs and asphalt paving for the parking lot are complete. 4. Concrete curbs and walks at the three playground areas are cOmplete. 5. Playground equipmem is complete. 6. Wood fencing is complete. 7. The basketball court and picnic area slabs are poured; trellis columns and main beams are complete. 8. The streambed/water feature is 99% complete. 9. Soil amendments are complete. Planting of bushes is 80-90% complete. 10. Trees are 100% planted. 11. The project is about 6-8 weeks behind the original schedule due to thirty days of rain delay and field conditions, and 2-3 weeks of additional work. It is tentatively anticipated that perimeter landscaping, building and playground facilities could be completed by mid-April 1998, if there are no further weather delays. Due to wet weather, availability of the hybrid Bermuda stolons for the playing fields is delayed until late April, provided there is no additional rain delay, which will cause the 90-day maintenance period to run through the end of July. Heritage Park ~roject No. 400042) 1. Over excavation and rough grading are in progress. 2. Numerous building materials have been submitted for review. 3. Progress has been slow due to E1Nino rains. Project is approximately 35 days delayed due to rain. Acting Director, Parks and Recreation Services cc: File G. 1 W,t MAH/WAH/:sc/Progress Report 3/11/1998
