Storm Drain along Jamboree Road 1,625'+ south of Pioneer Road and authorizing the City Clerk to

FISCAL IMPACT
Funding for this project is being provided with Reassessment District 95-1 monies. The Engineer's estimate
for this project is $16,500.00 and sufficient funds have been allocated in the Fiscal Year 1997-98 Capital
hnprovement Program Budget to cover the cost of this construction.
BACKGROUND
This project will provide for the connection from the existing Municipal Water District of Orange County
(MWDOC) 39" Baker Pipeline Blow-off Assembly to the existing storm drain system in Jamboree Road.
The blow-off assembly is utilized for draining water or sediment from the pipeline during routine
maimenance and the proposed connection will allow the discharge to be diverted into the storm drain
system. Construction of this connection was to be done at the time Jamboree Road was constructed through
Tustin Ranch, however, MWDOC experienced difficulty in obtaining an easement from the adjacem
property owner for the original design.
This connection has recently been redesigned by City staff to eliminate the need for the easement and the
construction plans have been approved by MWDOC.
