As of this date, the parks are proceeding as follows: Cedar Grove Park (Project 400041) The overall project is approximately 80% complete. Some details of the work are as follows: 1. Restroom building is 95% complete. 2. Underground utilities are completed. 3. Irrigation piping and control wiring is 95% complete. 4. Concrete curbs and asphalt paving for the parking lot are completed. 5. Concrete curbs and walks at the 3 playground areas are completed. 6. Playground equipment is 95% complete. 7. Wood fencing is complete. 8. The basketball court and picnic area slabs are poured; trellis columns and main beams are completed. 9. The stream bed/water feature is 90% complete. 10. Soil amendments are in progress. 11. Trees are tagged and ready for delivery to the site. 12. Bridge is framed; ready to install rails. 13. The project is about 5-6 weeks behind the original schedule due to fifteen (15) days of rain delay and field conditions, and 2-3 weeks of additional work. It is tentatively anticipated that perimeter landscaping, building and playground facilities should be cornpleted by spring. We'll report on a more specific date once we have a better handle on any future rain delays. The open field and amphitheater should be ready for use approximately 90 days after completion of the perimeter landscaping, building and playground. Heritage Park (Project No. 400042) 1. The contract was awarded to Valley Crest Landscape in the amount of $1,413,628. 2. Clearing and field prep started the week of January 5m. 3. Rain has held up the progress of the work on-site. Meanwhile, submittals have been forwarded by-the contractor to expedite material acquisition. 4. The building permit issuance has been delayed until this week, due to last minute corrections as required for Fire Department approval and IRWD easement information. The permit delay coincides with the rain delay. Acting Director, Parks and Recreation Services cc: File G. 1 ~ Wd/MAH/WAH/:sc/Progress Report 1/14/1998
