HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA 01 MINUTES 01-05-98 MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA DECEMBER 1, 1997 RDA N0. 1-5-98 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by chair Thomas at 10:35 p.m. at the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California. ROLL CALL Members Present: Jeffery M. Thomas, Chair Thomas R. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - NOVEMBER 17, 1997 REGULAR MEETING Chair Pro Tem Saltarelli and.Agencymember Potts announced they would abstain from voting on this matter due to their absence from the meeting. It was moved by Doyle, seconded by Worley, to approve the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of November 17, 1997. MOtion carried 3-0, Saltarelli, Potts abstained. 2. APPROVAL. OF DEMANDS It was moved by Doyle, seconded by Worley, to approve Demands in the amount of $640,596.23. Motion carried 5-0. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Page 2, 12-1-97 .~UTES · · PUBLIC HEARING: MIDTERM REVIEW AND PUBLIC HEARING IN FIVE YEAR IMPLEMENTATION PLAN Dave Gottlieb, Senior Project Manager, reported that in December 1994 in accordance with state law, the Redevelopment Agency adopted an Implementation Plan for the City's two redevelopment project areas, South Central and Town Center; the plan reviewed the goals and Objects of the project areas and attempted to quantify what the Agency would be undertaking over the next five years. He said that to comply with state law, a mid-term 'review of the Implementation Plan had been developed for Agency review including traffic signalization; street improvements; construction of the Columbus Tustin Gym, and Tustin Family and Youth Center; and noted the Town Center Project Area annual sales tax revenue of $712,000 and South Central Project Area annual revenue of $749,000. Chair Thomas opened the Public Hearing at 10:40 p.m. There were no speakers and the Public Hearing was closed. It was moved by Doyle, seconded by Worley, to receive and file subject report. Motion carried 5-0. TUSTIN FAMILY AND YOUTH CENTER (PROJECT NO. 100031), RESOLUTION NO. RDA 97-7: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZATION TO FILE NOTICE OF cOMpLETION It was moved by Saltarelli, seconded by Worley, to adopt the following Resolution No. RDA 97-7 accepting said work as complete, authorize the recordation of the Notice Of Completion, and direct the City Clerk to: (1) Release the Labor and Materials Bond no sooner than thirty-five (35) days after the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion and (2) Release.the Faithful Performance Bond no sooner than one year after the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion: RESOLUTION NO. RDA 97-7 - A RESOLUTION OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT AND AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE TUSTIN FAMILY AND YOUTH CENTER Motion carried 5-0. OTHER BUSINESS - None CLOSED SESSION - None REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY k ~JTES Page 3, 12-1-97 chair Thomas adjourned the meeting at 10:40 p.m. The next regular meeting -of the Redevelopment Agency'was scheduled for Monday, January 5, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way.
