LEAVE OF ABSENCE - IDA HARRIS
SUMMARY: Authorize leave of absence of more than thirty days for Ms. Ida
Harris, Crossing Guard, who is unable to return to work at this time due to an
industrial injury.
RECOMMENDATION'
That the City Council authorize the City Manager to grant a 90-day leave of absence
to Ida Harris per Section 8, H(b) of the Rules and Regulations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact since Ms. Harris is a crossing guard and does not receive or
accrue benefits.
BACKGROUND:
Ms. Harris' injury has not healed sufficiently to allow her to return to her job at this
time. She has requested this 90-day leave to allow her more time to heal from her
injury and return to work.
