TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION

CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 p.m.

ROLL CALL: Commissioners Kozak, Thompson, Altowaiji, Lumbard, Smith
PUBLIC CONCERNS: (Limited to 3 minutes per person for items not on the agenda)
At this time members of the public may address the Commission regarding any
items not on the agenda and within the subject matter jurisdiction of the
Commission (NO action can be taken on off - agenda items unless authorized by
law). If you wish to address the Commission on any matter, please fill out one of
the forms located at the speaker's table so that your remarks within the recording
of the meeting can be attributed to you. Completion of this form is not mandatory,
but accurately provides your information for the record.
PRESENTATION:
1. SECOND RESIDENTIAL UNITS IN OLD TOWN
In 2013, the City conducted public workshops on the subject of second residential
units in Old Town Tustin. A presentation will be provided on the subject to
apprise current Commission on issues related to second residential units in Old
Town.
Staff is seeking input and direction from the Commission regarding proposed
second residential units code amendments.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Planning Commission receive, review and provide staff with comments
and direction.

2. WORKSHOP — PURPOSE AND ROLE OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
Staff will provide a workshop to Planning Commissioners with general information
pertaining to the planning process, Commission roles and duties, applicable
planning laws governing Commission authority /decision- making, etc.

RECOMMENDATION:
That the Planning Commission receive and file the workshop presentation.

ADJOURNMENT:
The next Workshop of the Planning Commission will be scheduled when items are set
for presentation.
Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Planning Commission regarding any item on this
agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Community Development Department located at
300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California, during normal business hours.
