BUDGET APPROPRIATION
COLUMBUS TUSTIN PARK SITE ASSESSMENT
SUMMARY: Staff is requesting a budget appropriation from the Park DeVelOpment
Fund to initiate a site assessment of Columbus Tustin park,
BACKGROUND:
At their September 2, 1997, regular meeting, the City Council directed staffto initiate a
site assessment of the field conditions at Columbus Tustin Park. Council also requested
that the item be placed on the agenda for the September 29, 1997, joint meeting with City
Council and the TUSD Board of Education.
RJM Design Group, architect for Cedar Grove Park and Heritage Way Park, has agreed
to coordinate the assessment and preparation of the report. However, an appropriation to
cover sub-consultant work is necessary to cover tasks such as aerial photography,
surveying the park, evaluation of current irrigation system and architectural review of
permanent structures.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending that $10,000 from the Park Development Fund be appropriated for
sub-consultant work.
