TOUCHSTONE PICTURES
SUMMARY: A public hearing was scheduled to permit the City to lease Hangar No. 2 at
MCAS'Tustin for an interim period prior to disposal of the property by the Federal
Government and also to sublease said premises to various parties.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council continue the public hearing until June 16, 1997.
BACKGROUND
The City is currently completing negotiations with the Marine Corps and Navy to lease and
sublease Building 29 (the southerly blimp hangar) at MCAS-Tustin. Business terms, including
rent and estimated utility service charges, have not yet been provided by the Government. It is
our expectation that these provisions of the lease will be available by the City Council's
meeting of June 16, 1997.
