HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FIELD SERVICES SUBJECT: SURPLUS EQUIPMENT SALES REPORT 01 06.03 SUMMARY Notice of the sale at public auction of surplus vehicles and equipment that were conveyed to the City through the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Tustin closure in accordance with Section 1626 of the Tustin Municipal Code. RECOMMENDATION Receive and file. FISCAL IMPACT The total proceeds in the amount of $10,400.00 received from the sale of surplus equipment are to be credited to the MCAS-Tustin Personal Property Sales Account 17-000-4341 account. BACKGROUND On October 21, 2002, the Tustin City Council declared the conveyed vehicles and equipment from the base closure at MCAS-Tustin as surplus and not required for public use and authorized their sale at public auction in accordance with Section 1626 of the Tustin Municipal Code. DISCUSSION The vehicles and equipment listed on the attached report were sold at public auction on November 9, 2002 and December 14, 2002.
