two name alternatives for Council approval.
Council discussion followed that South Tustin Neighborhood Center
did not clearly represent the center's location; Newport -Sycamore
and Newport Youth and Family Center indicated the location of the
center; including Newport in the name could create confusion with

with RJM Design Group for park design.
Councilmember Potts stated The Irvine Company had completed
designs for the park and those drawings could be used to start the

for the park.
William Huston, City Manager, said accelerating the project could
best be achieved during park design with a professional services
agreement; RJM Design Group had been through the qualification
process and was currently working on the Tree Park; Council could
negotiate a contract with RJM in order to expedite the process;
and a rough conceptual plan for the park did exist.
Council/staff discussion followed regarding the existing
