SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR PHASE III REGIONAL
TRAILS, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 86-2
RECOMMENDATION
That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of July 6, 1992,
adopt a resolution approving the plans and specifications for the
subject project and authorize advertising for bids.
BACKGROUND
This contract will provide for the construction of sidewalk,
regional bicycle and equestrian trails, irrigation and landscaping
along the westerly side of Jamboree Road from 11001± southerly of
Champion Way to Portola Parkway and along the southerly side of
Portola Parkway from Jamboree Road to Tustin Ranch Road.
The engineer's estimate for this project is $407,700.00 and funding
will be provided with Assessment District 86-2 bond funds.
The tentative schedule is as follows:
Authorization to Advertise ........................July 6, 1992
First Legal Advertisement ........................July 16, 1992
Second Legal Advertisement .......................July 23, 1992
Open Bids.......................................August 7, 1992
Award Contract................................:August 17,1992
Begin Construction..........................September 14, 1992
Complete Construction.........................January 27, 1992

RESOLUTION NO. 92-85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING.PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHASE III
REGIONAL TRAILS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 86-2 (PROJECT NO. 700085)
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Tustin, California to contract construction of regional riding
and hiking trails; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented plans and
specifications for the construction of said work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and
specifications presented by the City Engineer be and are hereby
approved as the plans and specifications for:
Phase III Regional Trails
Assessment District 86-2
(Project 700085)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to advertise as required by law for the
receipt of sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the work
specified in the aforesaid plans and specifications;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this project is categorically
exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act; Class I: Existing Facilities.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting .of the City Council of
the City of Tustin held on the 6th day of July, 1992.
