RESOLUTION NO. 14 -72
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF
AN APPLICATION FOR THE RED HILL AVENUE
NORTHBOUND WIDENING AND RAISED MEDIAN
PROJECT TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER
THE COMPETITIVE MEASURE M2 REGIONAL CAPACITY
PROGRAM (PROJECT O)
WHEREAS, the Measure M2 Regional Capacity Program (Project O) desires to
implement the transportation improvements on Red Hill Avenue from Valencia Avenue
to Dyer Road /Barranca Parkway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive revenues as part
of Measure M2; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin Circulation Element is consistent with the
County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will provide matching funds for each project as
required by the Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs Procedures Manual;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will not use Measure M funds to supplant
Developer Fees or other commitments; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tustin
that it hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds under
the 2015 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs Call for Projects from the
Regional Capacity Program (Project O) to participating agencies in the amount specified
in the application for the Red Hill Avenue Northbound Widening and Raised Median
Project from Valencia Avenue to Dyer Road /Barranca Parkway. Said funds shall be
matched by funds from the City of Tustin, as required, and shall be used as
supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of the project street.
