MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
MAY 41 1992
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pontious at 10:40 p.m. in
the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California.
2. ROLL CALL

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
- APRIL 21, 1992 REGULAR MEETING
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Potts, to approve the
Redevelopment Agency
Minutes of April 21, 1992.
Motion carried 5-0.
4. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Potts, to approve Demands in the
amount of $765,139.50.
Motion carried 5-0.
5. SELECTION OF REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR
Agency Member Puckett nominated Leslie Anne Pontious to serve as
Chairperson. There were no other nominations and she was unanimously
selected as Chairperson.
Agency Member Puckett nominated Jim Potts to serve as Chairperson Pro
Tem. There were no other nominations and he was unanimously selected
as Chairperson Pro Tem.

6. SOUTH ANCHOR FOR OLD TOWN
Christine Shingleton, Assistant Executive Director, reported that at
the February 3, 1992 meeting, Council directed staff to prepare an
implementation plan for certain recommendations contained in "Tustin
- Visions of Old Town" idea book, prepared as a result of the
American Institute of Architects Regional Urban Design Assistance
Team event held in September, 1991. She highlighted the proposed
target area action programs including: possible closure and
abandonment of a portion of El Camino Way; assemblage of parcels on
either side of any abandoned portion of E1 Camino Way into a larger
developed parcel; creation of a commercial, office, or entertainment
mixed-use area; and expansion of the Jacobson Park identity at El
Camino Way to mark the south end of E1 Camino Real.
It was moved by Potts, seconded by Thomas, to authorize staff to
transmit Statements of Interest to property owners and tenants for
the area identified as a potential South Anchor for Old Town.
Motion carried 5-0.
7. FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR
COLUMBUS TUSTIN PARR PHASE 2A
It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Puckett, to accept the
improvements constructed and authorize the recordation of the Notice
of Completion for said improvements with the adoption of the
following Resolution No. RDA 92-6:
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 92-6 - A RESOLUTION OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT AND AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF NOTICE OF
COMPLETION FOR COLUMBUS TUSTIN PARK, PHASE 2A, PROJECT NO. 400020
Motion carried 5-0.
8. OTHER BUSINESS
A. STATUS REPORT - CIVIC CENTER CONSTRUCTION/RELOCATION OF COUNCIL
CHAMBER MEETINGS
Agency Member Potts requested a status report on the Civic Center
construction and relocation of Council Chamber meetings to the
Senior Center.
9. ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Pontious adjourned the meeting at 10:45 p.m. The next
regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday,
May 18, 1992, at 7:00 p.m.
