REPORTS NO. 3
1-20-92
Over the recent holidays, a heavy wind resulted in significant
damage to the wishing well on the Civic Center site. It is
proposed that the well be reconstructed in conjunction with Phase
II of the Civic Center project which is estimated to begin later in
the year for the following reasons:
1. Reconstruction of the well will require the work of a
structural engineer to redesign the roof structure
properly since posts for structure were broken off inside
the walls of the well.
2. In sequencing construction, flat work, drainage work and
landscaping work is proposed in the vicinity of the well.
The contractor will have to get into the floor and walls
of the well in order to re -plumb the filtration pump
system. These items were to have been done in Phase II
of construction and have to be done prior to rebuilding
the roof structure.
3. The existing historical tile plaque will be part of the
new work.
