SUBJECT: SURPLUS VEHICLES & WORK EQUIPMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, at their meeting of January 6, 1992, authorize staff to sell two
used police patrol units to the Irvine Unificd School District for the amount of
$2,150.00 per vehicle.
BACKGROUND:
On November 4, 1991 Council declared certain City vehicles and 'work equipment
surplus and not required for public use in accordance with Ordinance No. 871 of the
City of Tustin.
In November, 1991 the Irvine Unified School District contacted the Field Services
Division of the City of Tustin and expressed intcrest in purchasing two of the patrol
units scheduled for sale at auction.
The School District staff has inspected the vehicles and selected the two they desire.
