SUBJECT: TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TUSTIN CITY CODE SECTION 5331n TO
DESIGNATE CINDY LANE AND LETTY LANE FOR PARKING BY PERMIT ONLY
RECOMMENDATION:
It is reco~ended that the City Council, at their meeting of March 18, 1996, have first reading by title only
and introduction of Ordinance No. 1165.
FISCAL IMPACT:
It is estimated that the cost to install permit parking signs on the subject streets is approximately $600.00.
Funds are currently available in the Public Works/Engineering Division and Fidd Services Division budgets to
accommodate this work.
BACKGROUNI):
At the March 4, 1996 City Council meeting the Council considered an item entitled "Request for Permit
Parking on Cindy Lane and Letty Lane". The Council approved the item and further directed staff to prepare
an amendment to the appropriate Tustin City Code section designating the subject streets for inclusion into the
existing parking by permit only system.
DISCUSSION:
Section 533 In of the Tustin City Code currently provides for parking by permit only on Heatherfield Drive,
Sandwood Place, Rosalie Place, and Quent Drive. The residents on those streets are issued special parking
permits by the Tustin Police Department to park on the streets between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.,
seven days a week. The subject Ordinance will allow for permit parking on Cindy Lane and Letty Lane
consistent with existing permit parking in the other aforementioned areas of the City.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TUSTIN CITY CODE
SECTION5331N TO DESIGNATE CINDY LANE AND LETTY LANE
FOR PARKING BY PERMIT ONLY
The City Council of the City of Tustin, California does
hereby ordain as follows:
The City Council hereby finds and determines as
follows:
WHEREAS, the City has received numerous complaints
regarding the on-street parking of vehicles overflowing from
apartments and condominiums within 'the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the most
appropriate method of managing the problem of overflow
street Parking. in..residential.~areas.would be. the ..... ...
implementatiOn of a "Parking by'Permit'Only" system dUring
certain hours for residents of those streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Tustin, California does hereby further ordain that Section
5331n of the Tustin City Code be amended as follows'
SECTION 5331 STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING RESTRICTED OR
PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS.-
n Parking by Permit Only
The following area(s) have been designated to require a special parking permit to
park vehicles on the streets between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., seven
(7) days a week.

Heatherfield Drive and Sandwood Place between Mitchell Avenue
and Cloverbrook Drive.
· 2. Rosalie Place and Quent Drive.
3. Cindy Lane and Letty Lane.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Tustin, California, on April 1, 1996.
