MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
CITY 'OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
MAY 6, 1996
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Worley at 9:27 p.m. at
the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California.

REGULAR BUSINESS ( ITEMS 1 THROUGH Z )
1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - APRIL 15, 1996 REGULAR MEETING
It was moved by Potts, seconded by Thomas, to approve the
Redevelopment Agency Minutes of April 15, 1996.
Motion carried 5-0.
2. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS
It was moved by Potts, seconded by Thomas, to approve Demands in
the amount of $281,284.31.
Motion carried 5-0.
OTW~R BUSINESS
SENATE BILL 1861 (MCAS TUSTIN)
William Huston, Executive Director, announced that Senate Bill
1861, sponsored for the City by Senator Ross Johnson, which would
facilitate redevelopment of Marine Corps Air Station, Tustin, was

passed at the Committee Hearing level by unanimous vote following
a presentation by Christine Shingleton, Assistant Executive
Director.
TUSTIN SUPPORT OF
SCREENING/LEGISLATION
CITY OF ANAHEIM ILLEGAL PRISONER
Agencymember Potts noted the recent City resolution supporting the
City of Anaheim's ill'egal alien prisoner screening by the
Immigration and Naturalization Service; and legislation restricting
the number of residents per dwelling.
ILLEGAL ALIEN EMPLOYMENT SCREENING
Agencymember Doyle reported that as an employer, he was forbidden
to question residency status of employees, but the Immigration and
Naturalization Service could close his'business due to violations.

ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Worley adjourned the meeting at 9:32 p.m. The next regular
meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday, May 20,
1996, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way.
