HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1986 03 07 MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA MARCH 7, 1986 I. CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/INVOCATION The meeting was called to order by MayoF Greinke at 7:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way. II. ROLL CALL Councilpersons Present: Frank H. Greinke, Mayor Donald J. Saltarelli, Mayor Pro Tem Richard B. Edgar (left at approximately 8:05) Ronald B. Hoesterey Ursula E. Kennedy Councilpersons Absent: None Others Present: William A. Huston, City Manager James G. Rourke, City Attorney III, RECESS - CLOSED SESSION - RECONVENED The Mayor announced that the City Council will recess to a Closed Ses- sion to confer with the City Attorney regarding pending litigation pur- suant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c). The meeting was reconvened at 8:28 a.m. with Councilman Edgar absent. IV. EASTERN TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR ALIGNMENT It was moved by Saltarelli, seconded by Kennedy, to approve the Memo- randum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Irvine concerning the Eastern Transportation Corridor alignment, provided however: 1) If the MOU is not approved by the City of irvine by 3:00 p.m. on March 10, 1986, then the City Attorney is authorized and directed to file a lawsuit concerning City of Irvine Ordinance No. 86-3 (rezoning of the Irvine Business Complex); and 2) If the City of Irvine approves the MOU, then the City Attorney is authorized and directed to dismiss the lawsuit. The motion carried 3-1, Greinke opposed, Edgar absent. 45; 86~20 V. ADJOURNNENT The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 a.m. by unanimous informal consent to the next regular meeting on March 17, 1986.
