Prior to their installation, each catch basin was cleaned and the removed material was categorized by weight and type of waste. The inserts will be cleaned regularly as a routine Acceptance of Public Improvement and Authorization to File the Notice of Completion for the Catch Basin Insert Project FY 2002/03 (402-6222) March 3, 2003 Page 2 maintenance activity. A program is being developed to categorize the waste trapped by the filters in order to determine their effectiveness.
