SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CiTY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
FEBRUARY 18, 2003

(arrived at approximately 5:37 p.m.)

William A. Huston, City Manager; George Jeffries, City Treasurer;
Ron Nault, Director of Finance; Arlene Marks, Director of Human
Resources; Tim Serlet, Director of Public Works; Elizabeth
Binsack, Director of Community Development; Pat Sanchez,
Director of Parks and Recreation; Marcia Brown, Administrative
Assistant; and 15 in the audience.

Menard were appointed to
the Planning Commission;
Dove, Ferguson, Jackson
& Morton were appointed
to the Parks & Recreation
Commission; Hilde,
Sullens & Kozak were
appointed to the Audit
Committee.
REGULAR BUSINESS (ITEM 1 )
INTERVIEWS AND APPOINTMENTS OF
COMMISSION/COMMI'I-FEE MEMBERS
Interviews were conducted for Planning Commission, Parks
and Recreation Commission, and Audit Committee.
Ballots were cast by Council to fill three two-year terms on
the Planning Commission, as follows:
Wodey: Nielsen, Amante, Menard
Kawashima: Nielsen, Amante, Menard
Bone: Nielsen, Amante, Menard
Davert: Nielsen, Amante, Menard
Thomas: Nielsen, Amante, Floyd
Pamela Stoker, City Clerk, reported the ballot tally as
follows:
John Nielsen (5 votes), Jerome Amante (5 votes) and
Nathan Menard (4 votes) were appointed to the Planning
Commission with terms expiring March 1,2005.
Mayor Worley requested the Planning Commissioners be
sworn in effective March 1,2003 for the next Planning
Commission meeting.
Ballots were cast by Council to fill four two-year terms on
the Parks and Recreation Commission, as follows:
Worley: Dove, Ferguson, Jackson, Morton
Kawashima: Dove, Ferguson, Jackson, Morton
Bone: Dove, Ferguson, Floyd, Morton
Davert: Dove, Ferguson, Jackson, Morton
Thomas: Dove, Ferguson, Jackson, Morton

follows:

Elaine Dove (5 votes), Todd Ferguson (5 votes), Daniel
Jackson (4 votes) and Adrian Morton (5 votes), were
appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission with
terms to expire March 1,2005.
It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Davert, to move by
acclamation the appointment of Hilde, Sullens and Kozak to
the Audit Committee to fill three four-year terms to expire
March 1, 2007.
ADJOURNMENT - Mayor Worley adjoumed the meeting at 6:08 p.m. to the Closed Session. The
next regular meeting of the City Council was scheduled for Monday, February 18, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. in
the Council Chamber at 300 Centennial Way.
