CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
OCTOBER 4, 1984
I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kennedy at 5:04 p.m. in the
City Hall Conference Room, 300 Centennial Way.
II, ROLL CALL
Councilpersons Present: Ursula E. Kennedy, Mayor
Frank H. Greinke, Mayor Pro Tem
Richard B. Edgar
Donald J. Saltarelli
Councilpersons Absent: Ronald B. Hoesterey
Others Present: James G. Rourke, City Attorney
William A. Huston, City Manager
Mary E. Wynn, City Clerk
Approximately 4 in the audience
III. BULLET TRAIN
The City Attorney requested a Closed Session for legal matters j It
was moved by Edgar, seconded by Greinke, to recess to a Closed
Session for legal matters at 5:05 p.m. Carried 4-0, Hoesterey
absent.
RECESSED at 5:05 p.m. and RECONVENED at 5:26 p.m.
BULLET TRAIN (Continued)
It was moved by Saltarelli, seconded by Edgar, to authorize the
staff and the City Attorney to proceed with such further litigation
that appears appropriate at this time against American High Speed
Rail regarding the Bullet Train. Carried 4-0, Hoest~hey absent.
It was moved by Edgar, seconded by Greinke, that the-Cit~Attorney
direct the appropriate communication to the Attorney General to
investigate what appears to be very questionable involvement of
Bruce Young, Governor Jerry Brown, and any other'' parties
appropriate, in pushing through legislation (AB3647) approving the
Bullet Train. Carried 4-0, Hoesterey absent.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Saltarelli, seconded by Edgar, to adjourn the
meeting at 5:31 p.m. to the next regular meeting on October 15,
1984, at 7:00 p.m. Carried 4-0, Hoesterey absent.
