HUSTON, CITY MANAGER PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FIELD SERVICES SURPLUS EQUIPMENT SALES REPORT SUMMARY Notice of the sale of surplus equipment at public auction in accordance with Section 1626 of the Tustin Municipal Code. RECOMMENDATION Receive and file, FISCAL IMPACT The total net proceeds in the amount of $53,614.00 received from the subject sales will be credited to the General Fund. BACKGROUND On September 16, 2002 the Tustin City Council declared certain equipment surplus and not required for public use and authorized its sale at public auction in accordance with Section 1626 of the Tustin Municipal Code. DISCUSSION The equipment listed on the attached report was sold at public auction on October 5th and 19th and on February 19, 2003. The following is a summary of the sales proceeds and costs: Gross Proceeds Safety Inspection Charges Net Proceeds $54,746.00 $ 1,132.00 $53,614.00 Tim D.
