St1BJECTi: MODIFICATIONS AT RED HILL AVENUE AND EL CAMINO REAL AND AT RED
HILL AVENUE AND NISSON ROAD
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the City Council at their 'meeting of
November 16, 1992 adopt the attached Resolution approving the plans
and specifications for modifications of traffic signals at the
intersections of Red Hill Avenue/E1 Camino Real and Red Hill
Avenue/Nisson Road.
DISCUSSION:
This project will provide for the modification of traffic signals
at Red Hill Avenue/E1 Camino Real and at Red Hill Avenue/Nisson
Road. The work will include all labor, material, tools, equipment,
appurtenances and incidentals for the construction of traffic
signals, lighting, traffic loop detectors, and wheelchair access
ramp improvements as detailed on the plans and specifications for
this project.
The Engineer's estimate for the above-mentioned work is $162,486.00
and will be funded with the FY 1992-93 Capital Improvement Program.
The tentative schedule for this project is as follows:

RESOLUTION NO. 92-138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATIONS AT RED HILL AVENUE AND EL
CAMINO REAL AND RED HILL AVENUE AND NISSON ROAD
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Tustin, California to install a traffic signal at the
intersections of Red Hill Avenue and E1 Camino Real and Red Hill
Avenue and Nisson Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented plans and
specifications for the construction of said work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and
specifications presented by the City Engineer be and are hereby
approved as the plans and specifications for:
Traffic signal installations at Red Hill Avenue and E1
Camino Real and Red Hill Avenue and Nisson Road
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to advertise as required by law for the
receipt and sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the work
specified in the aforesaid plans and specifications;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this project is categorically
exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act; Class I: Existing Facilities.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tustin held on the 16th day of November, 1992.
