As a condition of approval for Jamboree Plaza, the developer was required to
widen Edinger Avenue to the ultimate width and install a raised landscape
median along the entire Edinger Avenue frontage of their development. During
the normal plan review process, the City requested that the Orange County
Materials Laboratory determine the required pavement structural section for
the widened area, based on a 20 year design. Their recommendations also
indicated that the existing four travel lanes be capped with a minimum three
inch asphalt concrete overlay to prolong the life of the existing street
pavement. The overlay of the existing pavement is the obligation of the
City.
