V. CERTIFICATION OF CANVASS OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - REORGANIZATION OF
COUNCIL
1. PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF CANVASS BY CITY CLERK
The Canvass of the General Municipal Election held on April 13,
1982 was given by Mary E. Wynn, City Clerk, with the results
that the two winning candidates were Ursula E. Kennedy, with
2,067 vote s, and Frank H · Greinke, with 1,338 votes · The
Certificate of Canvass is attached to Resolution No. 82-34. 48
2. RESOLUTION NO. 82-34 - A Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION AND THE SPECIAL PRIMARY ELECTION HELD IN SAID
CITY 0N APRIL 13, 1982, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH
OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW
It was moved by Hoesterey, seconded by Edgar, to pass and adopt
Resolution No. 82-34 as recon~nended by the City Clerk. Carried
5-0. 48
3. PRESENTATION TO OUTGOING MAYOR AND COUNCILMAN JAMES B. SHARP
Mayor Pro Tem Hoesterey presented plaques from the City of
Tustin to James E. Sharp as outgoing Mayor and as outgoing
Councilman. He also presented a pocket watch to him from the
councilpersons and staff. 38
4. ADMINISTRATION OF OATHS OF OFFICE
Mary E. Wynn, City Clerk, a~ninistered the Oaths ~? COuncilwoman
Ursula E. Kennedy and Frank N. Greinke and presented them with
Certificates of Election.
Ursula E. Kennedy and Frank H · Greinke took their seats as
reelected and newly elected councilpersons. 38
5. ELECTION OF MAYOR
The City Clerk opened nominations for Mayor for the coming
year · Frank H · Greinke nominated Richard B · Edgar. The
nominations were closed. Councilman Edgar was elected by a
vote of 5-0. 38

6. ELECTION OF MAYOR PRO TEM
Mayor Edgar opened nominations for Mayor Pro Tem for the coming
year. Councilman Saltarelli nominated Ursula E. Kennedy and
nominations were closed. Councilwoman Kennedy was elected Mayor
Pro Tern by a 5-0 vote. 38

VII. ADJOURNMENT - It was moved by Hoestere~, seconded by Kennedy, to adjourn
at 7:46 p.m. to the next regular meeting on May 3, 1982.
