SUBJECT: AVENUE FROM FAIRHAVEN AVENUE TO 400 FEET SOUTHEAST OF SANTA
CLARA AVENUE
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of
October 19, 1992, award the contract for the subject project to
R.L.T. Construction, Inc., of Anaheim, California, in the amount of
$140,717.60.
BACKGROUND:
Bids were opened October 13, 1992, for subject project and 15 bids
were received as follows:

The low bid by R.L.T. Co::Struction, Inc. is 26% under the
engineer's estimate of $19-,000.00. The low bidder R.L.T.
Construction, Inc. has previo -Sly performed water main installation
for the City in a satisfactory manner.
This project provides for tie blending of the Prospect Well and
encompasses the ultimate replazement of deteriorated water mains on
Prospect and Santa Clara Avenues in the unincorporated territory of
Orange County.
Funding for this project will be provided by the 1992-93 FY Capital
Improvement Program. Currently there is a total of $227,000.00
budgeted for this project.
