REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
JULY 6, 1992
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Pontious at 9:05 p.m.
in the Tustin Area Senior Center, 200 South "C" Street, Tustin,
California.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JUNE 15, 1992 REGULAR MEETING
It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Saltarelli, to approve the
Redevelopment Agency Minutes of June 15, 1992.
Motion carried 5-0.
APPROVAL OF DEMANDS
It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Saltarelli, to approve Demands
in the amount of $763,476.73.
Motion carried 5-0.
DESIGN REVIEW 92-028; APPLICANT - JOHN ROSE
Rita Westfield, Assistant Director of Community Development, reported
the applicant had requested authorization to construct a 940 -square
foot room addition and a garage to an existing single-family
residence located at 14101 "C" Street. The addition would provide
a new family room and garage space on the first story and a new
master bedroom on the second story.

It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Thomas, to approve Design Review
92-028 by adopting the following Resolution No. RDA 92-8:
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 92-8 - A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW 92-028
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 940 SQUARE FOOT ROOM ADDITION ON
THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 14101 "C" STREET
Motion carried 5-0.

6. DESIGN REVIEW 92-021; APPLICANT - STEPHEN D. PAQUETTE
Rita Westfield, Assistant Director of Community Development, reported
the applicant was requesting authorization fox modifications to the
parking lot layout, installation of landscape improvements and
construction of new east elevations for a fire damaged structure on
the property located at 135 South Prospect Avenue.
It was moved by Potts, seconded by Thomas, to approve Design Review
92-021 by adopting the following Resolution No. RDA 92-7:
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 92-7 - A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT -AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW 92-021
AUTHORIZING MODIFICATIONS TO THE PARKING LOT LAYOUT, INSTALLATION OF
LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS AND CONSTRUCTION OF NEW EAST ELEVATIONS FOR
A FIRE DAMAGED STRUCTURE ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 135 SOUTH
PROSPECT AVENUE
Motion carried 5-0.
7. DESIGN REVIEW 92-034 - APPLICANT, GARY CLARK
Rita Westfield, Assistant Director of Community Development, reported
the applicant was requesting authorization to install canvas awnings
on the commercial property located at 13022 and 13024 Newport Avenue.
It was moved by Potts, seconded by Puckett, to approve Design Review
92-034 by adopting the following Resolution No. RDA 92-10:
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 92-10 - A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW 92-034
AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF AWNINGS AT THE COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE
LOCATED AT 13022 AND 13024 NEWPORT AVENUE
Motion carried 5-0.
8. DESIGN REVIEW 92-009 - APPLICANT, CARLIS JR.
Rita Westfield, Assistant Director of Community Development, reported
the applicant was requesting authorization to construct outdoor play
equipment within a landscaped area between the restaurant and drive-
through lane at 14041 Newport Avenue.

It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Thomas, to approve Design Review
92-009 by adopting the following Resolution No. RDA 92-9:
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 92-9 - A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW 92-009
AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF OUTDOOR PLAY EQUIPMENT AT THE CARL'S JR.
RESTAURANT LOCATED AT 14041 NEWPORT AVENUE
Motion carried 5-0.
9. WORKSHOP ON USE OF REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY HOUSING SET-ASIDE FUNDS
Agency concurred to schedule a workshop on August 17, 1992, at 5:00
p.m., at the Tustin Area Senior Center.
10. OTHER BUSINESS
A. WAIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT FEES/MODIFY DESIGN REVIEW 92-028 SECOND
STORY ENTRY WAY
John Rose, applicant for Design Review 92-028, requested waiver
of school district fees; and permission to alter project's second
story entry way.
Rita Westfield, Assistant Director of Community Development,
responded that the applicant should contact the school district
for fee waiver.
Agency/staff/speaker discussion followed regarding location of
second story entry way; and Building Code requirements.
Agency concurred to approve Design Review 92-028 with condition
that entry way modification was subject to staff approval.
11. ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Pontious adjourned the meeting at 9:18 p.m. The next
regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday,
July 20, 1992, 7:00 p.m., at the Tustin Area Senior Center.
